Hamilton County Special Tactics & Rescue Services
Established 1983
The Hamilton County Special Tactics and Rescue Services, Inc. (STARS) is designated to provide special tactical and technical support to area fire, rescue and police services throughout Chattanooga & Hamilton County Tennessee and the surrounding area. Primary response is for Search and Rescue.
Membership consists of highly trained rescue personnel. Training includes but not limited to: First Responder, EMT, Paramedic, Ground Search & Rescue Techniques, Mountain Rescue Techniques, Rescue Scuba Divers, Above & Below Water Rescue and Swiftwater Rescue Techniques.
The Hamilton County STARS Rescue Team is a member and dispatched through the Hamilton County Emergency Services network
The Hamilton County Special Tactics and Rescue Services, Inc. (STARS) organization operates solely by volunteer effort, with no paid members.

Emergency vehicles added to STARS fleet
|
Hamilton County STARS have added 2 donated vehicles to our emergency fleet. The gracious donor request not to be listed. The vehicles will be identified as 2191 ICS and 2192 Dive.
2191 ICS will be used as our new Incident Command Vehicle. It will have a office space to operate 2 computes along with wireless printing. It will also provide us with an area to interview and compile information from witnesses.
2192 Dive will replace our current water vehicle. The new vehicle will have all our dive and swiftwater equipement.
